The work of the Canadian Earth Institute involves person-to-person outreach by hundreds of volunteers supported by a small staff. Members provide funds to support this direct outreach. Individual contributions from members cover about a third of CEI’s operating expenses. But this isn’t the only—or even the main—reason for membership. Each member represents someone who is taking an active step to help the earth.
